The Panther Kallista is a roadster produced by Panther Car Company Ltd. in Byfleet, England, from 1983 to 1990. Around 1,750 vehicles were built, designed by Robert Jankel. In 1992, SsangYong introduced a badge-engineered version under its own name, of which 73 units were produced.
Drivetrain: Various Ford engines were used: 1.6-liter four-cylinder with twin carburetors: 71 kW (96 hp) 2.8-liter V6 with twin carburetors: 99 kW (135 hp) 2.8-liter V6 with fuel injection: 110 kW (150 hp) 2.9-liter V6 with fuel injection: 110 kW (150 hp) A five-speed manual transmission was standard; an automatic was available on request for the six-cylinder models. The most powerful versions reached approximately 195 km/h (121 mph) and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 7.5 seconds.
Chassis and Body: The chassis consisted of a ladder frame with independent front suspension and a live rear axle. The body was made from lightweight metal, with parts imported from Korea for final assembly at Panther.
