BMW 7 Serie, 732, year 1977 - 1982
Brake System: ATE (TEVES)
Launched in May 1977 as the entry model of BMW’s first 7 Series (E23), the 732 featured the legacy M30 inline-6 from the E3 sedan. In 1979, it was replaced by the 732i, now equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection for improved efficiency. The E23 also introduced ABS (co-developed by Bosch and Mercedes) that year, marking BMW’s shift toward advanced electronics.
While later E23 models offered turbocharged engines (e.g., the 745i), the 732/732i remained the accessible option until production ended in 1986.
