Intermeccanica: Italian Craftsmanship for Sports CarsFrank Reisner and his wife Paula founded the North-East Engineering Company in Turin in 1959, later renamed Costruzione Automobili Intermeccanica. Initially producing tuning kits, the company began automobile production in 1960 under the IMP brand. Intermeccanica subsequently developed vehicles for other manufacturers, delivering them partially assembled – a logistical challenge given the distance between Italy and US partners. From 1967, vehicles were marketed under the Intermeccanica name. By 1973 business had declined, and on 25 December 1974 the company was dissolved.Braking System & Spare PartsThe braking system of these classics is critical to both safety and driving experience.
