The Special Case: The 1985 Model Year

The year 1985 marks the end of Studebaker-based Avanti II production. Only 100 examples were built. They rolled on a Chevrolet Monte Carlo chassis with a 305-cui V8 and 700R4 automatic transmission. Externally recognisable by rectangular headlights and plastic bumpers instead of the original round headlights and chrome bumpers.
